Argh, the pings would be way too unstable for Oz or NZ.

it would be fine if we could play the australian games on the ozforces server. the international finals would be a worry tho...

I don't think ping effects the game too much. There's no hitscan'ing involved - just positioning...

I've played in a few overseas servers @ 200 pings...

It ain't bad - and doesn't seem that much of a disadvantage.


Although there's no southern cross link to Europe. :p

Would Aus v Europe games be played on neutral US servers?

It depends on the server. You can play on australian servers if you get any.
That's why me make a separate Australian league. Playing against Europe clans would cause horrible pings.

yeah, the official rules. it is too late to get into the official league, so i think we should just go ahead with this local league for the time being. hopefully after this league more will be interested anyway.

oh yeah, i think it would be good if we got into the dbl, quietman. i have no problem with the official rules. most teams have 5 anyway :p

if you register too late you only have to wait until the next season starts

but we won't start the aussie league until we got enough clans (6-8 at least)

by then there will be some super ultra leet connection with p5 10 ghz and gf6 fx 5000 and we can vs euro ppl and we will complain of our pings of 4

well, a league will take 2-4 months
But we won't start the australian league before we have enough teams....would hardly make any sense...
