netchen error

in console on map changes it says "netchan error, last packet dropped" and i get disconnected from the server and have to quit and retry..:snipe would like to snuff this out...and sometimes when my other admins lose their admin on map changes...thx peeps

Not sure about the netchan error, but I have had problems with admins getting dropped. Whats the speed of your box, ie. cpu, mem...etc.

Also, what method are you using for admin rights? I suggest following this method by MOO instead of the one in the adminmod instructions:

This may prevent your admins from losing rights. Even if it happens its just a key stroke away from fixing it.

Also try deleting the file: custom.hpk once in a while. If this file gets really big, it takes a long time to change maps on the server which may cause disconnects to players and/or admin passwords expiring. This file holds the custom sprays of players.
